THE ART, THE SCIENCE
+  THE FAQ...

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
We will criss-cross the Meridian de France, walking through fields, towns and cities. Our path will inscribe an arc on the surface of the Earth that we will meticulously measure – leading to the definition of a new ‘metre’ bound to us and to our action.

HOW FAR ARE YOU WALKING?

I am walking from Dunkerque (in the North of France on the channel coast) to Barcelona (on the Spanish coast, south of the Pyrenees). 'As the crow flies' this is a distance of  1,258km (782mi) but as I am taking a slightly more circuitous route – between towns that defined the original journey – I believe it will be more like 1,500km (932mi) but it's hard to say precisely (I will let you know when I'm done!)

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU?

I am hoping to walk at a relatively leisurely rate of approximately 100km per week and arrive in Barcelona 15 weeks after starting. [Note: this is subject to change]
